The Right Tunes

For me, working out requires the right music. I can’t run to classical music, elevator music, or some sort of on hold recording that you hear on the phone. It just doesn’t work. I need something with a great beat–something that will inspire me to keep my feet moving and the calories jumping right off my butt. And as long as they don’t come back to me, I don’t care where they go.

But back to the point: You just have to have awesome music to get pumped up and ready to work hard. Here are my favorite songs–in no particular order– to work out to:

  1. Kenny Loggins: “Eye of the Tiger”
  2. Kanye West: “Stronger”
  3. Rihanna: “Please Don’t Stop the Music”
  4. Gnarls Barkley: “Crazy”
  5. Cyndi Lauper: “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”
  6. Black Eyed Peas: “Pump It”
  7. Michael Jackson: “Smooth Criminal”
  8. Elvis: “Little Less Conversation”
  9. RedNex: “Cotton Eyed Joe”
  10. Trapt: “Head Strong”
  11. Chris Brown: “Run It”
  12. Drew Sidora: “‘Til The Dawn”
  13. Veronicas: “4Ever”
  14. Michael Buble: “It Had Better Be Tonight”
  15. Rihanna: “Breaking Dishes”
